Buckle Fracture

A buckle fracture is a break caused by pressure on a bone. The bone doesn't break, instead it bulges due to the pressure. It most commonly occurs in the radius, which is the forearm bone on the thumb side.

  • Pain/swelling/bruising
  • Bump on the affected area
  • Pain when moving the affected area
  • Falling on an outstretched hand
  • Do you have a bump on the affected area?
  • Does it hurt to move your wrist (or effected area)?
