Osgood-Schlatter Disease
Osgood-Schlatter Disease is a common growing pain that affects avtive kids and teens. It happens when the tendon below the kneecap repeatedly pulls on the growth area near the top of the shinbone and causes inflammation. Running, jumping and playing sports can make it sore, escpailly during growth suprts. Even though it is painful, it usally gets better as your bones finish growing.
