Osgood-Schlatter Disease
Osgood-Schlatter disease is a common knee condition that can happen in kids and teens while they are growing, especially if they play sports. During growth spurts, the bones, muscles, tendons, and joints are changing quickly, and sports can put extra stress on the knee, causing pain, swelling, and tenderness just below the kneecap.
