Scaphoid Fracture

A scaphoid fracture is a type of broken wrist that involves the scaphoid bone. This is one of the bones in your wrist and is located near the base of your thumb.

  • Pain/bruising/swelling on the thumb side of the wrist
  • Deformity or bump
  • Difficulty/inability to move your wrist
  • Pain in your wrist, especially near/below your thumb
  • Falling on an outstretched hand
  • Are you unable to move your wrist?
  • Is the pain, bruising, and/or swelling located on your wrist, right below your thumb?
