Symptoms
- Central chest pain
- Tenderness over sternum
- Pain with deep breathing
- Pain with movement
- Bruising
What does a Sternal Contusion feel like?
- A sore or sharp pain in the center of chest
- Worse with pressure or movement
- Pain when taking deep breaths
What are common causes of a Sternal Contusion?
- Direct hit to chest
- Collision in contact sports
- Fall onto chest
