Symptoms
  • Central chest pain
  • Tenderness over sternum
  • Pain with deep breathing
  • Pain with movement
  • Bruising
What does a Sternal Contusion feel like?
  • A sore or sharp pain in the center of chest
  • Worse with pressure or movement
  • Pain when taking deep breaths
What are common causes of a Sternal Contusion?
  • Direct hit to chest
  • Collision in contact sports
  • Fall onto chest
